Acquisitions
K2’s subsidiary Aether AI, acquired VLecture, an AI-powered lecture note-taking startup.

K2 Capital Limited, through its AI investment subsidiary Aether AI, has acquired VLecture, an innovative Indonesian educational technology startup that specializes in AI-powered lecture note-taking and learning assistance.
Founded in 2020, VLecture has developed cutting-edge AI technology that transforms classroom recordings into comprehensive Cornell-style notes, helping students focus on learning rather than note-taking. The platform’s capabilities include audio transcription with timestamps, automated note generation, and the creation of personalized quizzes and flashcards for effective study review.
“This acquisition represents a strategic expansion of our AI technology portfolio in Southeast Asia,” said Oliver Tedja, Co-Founder at K2 Capital. “VLecture’s innovative approach to educational technology aligns perfectly with our mission to invest in transformative AI solutions that create meaningful impact.”
VLecture’s platform addresses a critical challenge in education by allowing students to remain fully engaged during lectures while ensuring comprehensive note capture. The service can process classroom recordings and generate detailed notes in under 20 seconds, featuring intelligent summarization and organized content structure using the proven Cornell method.
The acquisition by K2 Group, a Hong Kong-based investment group, with extensive networks across East and Southeast Asia, is expected to accelerate VLecture’s growth and development. With operations across multiple countries including China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia, K2 Investment Group brings substantial resources and regional expertise to support VLecture’s expansion.
This move strengthens Aether AI’s position in the educational technology sector and K2 Capitals commitment to investing in innovative AI solutions that address real-world challenges.
